User Story
As a Vendor I want the ability to connect with the right buyers at the right time so that I can convert more opportunities.
As a Marketer I want to be able to self manage my ad campaigns through Spiceworks so that I can better monitor and improve the effectiveness of my campaigns.
As a Sales Rep I want in depth company and intent information for existing and potential accounts so that I can better prioritize and close deals.

We started by defining the base elements of the new suite of tools. This included the homepage and basic shell of the navigation. The main challenges of the navigation were accounting for different roles, permissions, and pay walls to certain features for users while also accommodating the different needs in subsections for different modules.

The Engagement module intends to focus on letting users manage their brand presence across Spiceworks and interact with users. Many of the features intended to live under the Engagement umbrella already exist within the community in some form or fashion. One of the first features to be moved over is an updated version of the Vendor Products management solution. Currently Spiceworks requires users to submit claims for products and information updates through community managers. This new system aims to remove that burden from community managers and let brands manage their products directly.

The Intelligence module has seen the most iteration and focus for our early MVP demo. By providing in-depth business insights generated from a combination 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data users are better able to prioritize accounts that may be better suited for their products or services. This iteration of the module focuses on letting users search and sort through a list of accounts basing their ranking off the purchase intent of one of several categories and providing a breakdown of the metrics that contributed to that ranking score.

One of the earliest pieces of the Vendor Portal that we worked on was building out the reporting dashboard for the Analytics (self service ads) module. In this early MVP clients are able to monitor existing campaigns they have set up through Spiceworks reps. The overview dashboard provides a quick summary of the overall activity and health for all campaigns users while other screens provide more in-depth KPIs for specific campaigns. The Tableau demo for this product has been running for several months now with great feedback from our demo users.

Intended to be built as part of the next phase following the MVP demo reveal at Spiceworld the Connections module, as it was aptly named, intends to foster connections between buyers and sellers. We began exploring multiple mediums by which to facilitate these connections be it through an internal solution, email, or 3rd party integrations. In each scenario the focus is on providing the Vendor with clear business insights into the needs of the hand raiser so that both buyer and seller can ultimately find the right fit.
